Why Study Music?
Training in music and theatre instills discipline, develops organizational and social skills, improves coordination, encourages creative thinking and problem solving, and promotes an appreciation for culture and art that lasts throughout a person's life.
Whether a student is planning a professional career in the theatre or just looking to explore their creative and artistic side, PCPA has a program to suit their needs.
In a 10-year study of over 25,000 students by the U.S. Education Department:
Students who study music test higher in math and on standardized tests.
Students studying theatre have higher reading skills.
