Starlight Theatre is a unique, 3-week intensive program. Starlight students participate in daily dance, voice, audition preparation and acting classes taught by professional staff with experience on Broadway, regionally and on theatre & concert stages around the country.
Starlight Theatre culminates with a fully staged production of Seussical Kids.
No audition is required to participate in the program. Roles are assigned after staff evaluate and audition students during the first week of the program. All students participate in the show. Roles are often double cast in order to give more students the opportunity to perform.
The Spotlight program emphasizes cooperation and team building as well as the development of socialization skills. Students learn basic theatre and performance skills through a combination of theatre games, individual coaching and classes. Students leave the program more confident performers and auditioners.
