Our philosophy is to nurture and develop young talent in a supportive atmosphere, providing the necessary performance skills required to excel and opportunities to display these skills in a wide spectrum of performance situations.

Conservatory employs a unique combination of professional musicians and area youth to present fully staged productions of operas, musicals, concerts and revues. 

Our flagship opera company, Pineda Lyric, maintains a high professional standard but prides itself in preserving a hometown, neighborhood identity. 

Where else could a homemaker and her school-aged children perform alongside a Metropolitan Opera finalist while accompanied by members of the New Jersey Symphony and directed by a Broadway veteran?  

Our unique system of double casting large roles and casting understudies in or student productions separates us from similar programs and provides a support system that encourages cooperation rather than competition.

Graduating conservatory students now attend the country’s finest theatre and fine arts programs.  Former guest artists have been accepted into prestigious opera apprentice programs and appear regularly with the nation’s leading opera companies.
